I have been going to the Power Exchange where I have had some of the

But I was more struck by this: The gut reaction that an unknown colleague with a female name must work in a support function, not engineering or management.

Now, for part number two, what the hell is passable? I always thought passable meant trans people who were not recognizable as trans people, and everone just assumed they were the presented sex. I certainly don't fit that definition. But I see a lot of people use the term "passable" to mean something else much more vague. Any standard definition?

Airline comes out with gay-themed flight

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Air New Zealand is delving into the gay and lesbian market with a special themed flight that will feature drag queens, pink cocktails and a cabaret performed by the flight crew.

The destination for the airline's one-time "Pink Flight," scheduled to depart San Francisco International Airport on Feb. 26, is the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney, Australia, one of the world's most well-attended gay events, said Jodi Williams, an Air New Zealand marketing director.

"We are looking at tailoring the inseat entertainment and having gay-friendly movies and contests and different music and things like that," Williams said. The airline also plans to throw a "Get-Onboard-Girlfriend" going away party for its passengers, who will pay an average of $1,000 roundtrip.

The flight will be modeled after an Auckland-to-Sydney trip Air New Zealand made this year for the gay Mardi Gras, according to Williams. Before that full flight, the crew put on pink feather boas and sang for its couple hundreds passengers, she said.

"Even the pilot was wearing fairy wings and got into it," Williams said.

Michael Wilke, executive director of a New York-based advertising advocacy group called the Commercial Closet Association, said that while American, Air Canada and other airline companies have become visible sponsors of gay pride events, none had so far used campy programming to appeal to gay and lesbian travelers.

"They could probably do very well with it," Wilke said. "It really sounds like someone put together the idea of what a gay cruise is and just applied that to the air. And even gay cruises don't feature employees in particular outfits or gay-themed movies."

Air New Zealand's Williams said the airline still is working out some details of the flight plan, such as what will go inside the goodie bags passengers will get. Since it takes 14 hours to get from San Francisco to Sydney, the airline also plans to schedule in some down time during the overnight flight.

"We had to think about keeping people entertained while knowing they will want their beauty sleep," she said.

Loosing it

I am an externally male intersexed person. a few months ago, I got some breast growth. I thought & still think it's one of the coolest changes my body has had. I suspect the breast growth is at least partially due to some weight I put on. I am going to the gym to slim down, as I don't really care for the extra non-boob weight. Trans Sexuality

Hi
I am having a hard time describing my sexuality to self or anyone else.
I am a pre-op and before I started this journey my sexuality was more or less irrelevant. Now I just don’t know how to even describe this feeling or fear.
What do I do now?
My penis used to be a tool (pretty much as would a strap on) to help pleasure my partner. That really is what I considered it and most of the time how I used it. Now I feel it is such a liability. It is a reminder (probably mostly to self) that my journey is incomplete.
I am scared that if I get aroused that it will get erect (even on hormones it may happen) and I will be seen more or less as just a chick with a dick type thing a term used frequently by the porn industry.
I am not, though I am all because I wasn’t born gender true.
So I question my sexuality.
How can I have a relationship intimate or otherwise (which I would love to have) with this indecisiveness about this issue? Even talking about it to others is hard to do, because I am just not sure how to even articulate this inter conflict which has become such an emotional issue to me.
I have gone and go to munches, play parties and other social type events, but have this mental block which has precluded me from do anything more than just gabbing and avoiding just about anything that might lead to my arousal.
I so want to but am scared of myself.

I am cross posting this to some of my other tribes also because I am sure others have gone through similar trauma.

Power Exchange schedule changes

before you go to PE on a Sunday night, I advise you to call them after 9p on the Friday or Saturday before you go to ask if the club will be open Sunday. I was told last Saturday night the PE wil no longer be open on Sunday night, but will continue to be open for fun on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights 9p to 6am.
it would be nice if management from PE might confirm this "officially".

My favorite nights are Thursdays for more tranny/ tranny chaser play and Saturday nights for more dungeon play.

Power Exchange Thursday night 3/23

I go to the Power Exchange club often.
I went Thursday night , got there early with some tranny friends. very very slow. We began to worry, is this going to be one of those nights where there are more trannies than guys?
Then a good looking couple in black provided some slave /master scening entertainment in the white room. good exhibitionist/ voyeur fun. when they finished it was back to slow.
Untill!!!!, AL showed up in the downstairs dungeon cage with his bags of floggers, cuffs and other toys. Then things began to pick up quickly.
AL is very kind enough to often let some of us trannys use his toys in the dungeon and we used them for much of the that night. mostly trannies topping or subbing to other trannies, but also a few GGs and a guy or two now and then an of course sweet Al. Often a good crowd of voyeurs outside the cage some nice and hard. This was not a clickee closed scene like some other places ive been. People watching were invited into the cage to try this scene and they did not have to be what some consider young and beautiful to be invited in. everyone has sensuality within them.
I find it stimulating when a bunch of guys are getting hard watching our scene. If they get a little close this sissy tells them to back up and/ or cover it. and they usually do so. if they dont then security is often close by. they just want to find some pleasure too,. I know and have talked with some of them. some patronize PE on a regular basis and I like them. in a world often with so much pain and intolerance , PE is an oasis of Pleasure for many of us.
taking photos is not permitted in the PE so one can be more relaxed, I had to quickly get used to being photographed when i was onstage at the erotic exotic ball helping to top a sub GG which was a different exsperience for me.
stayed in PE late left happy and tired. PE is another reason to be thankfull I live here.

Need help learning to walk

This is kind of embarrassing. I've never learned how to walk in spiky high heels. No problems with shorter 2" or clunky heels, but the fun ones - no. I've Googled around and found tutorials but I've never swam with it and I want to achieve a level of elegance while sporting high fashion and/or fetish.

Compton’s Cafeteria Riots Commemoration Kick-Off

A Commemoration of the 40th Year Anniversary of the Compton Cafeteria Riots will be celebrated throughout the Bay Area in 2006. Three years before the famous rioting at New York’s Stonewall Inn, a group of transgender women and gay street-hustlers fought back for the first time in history against everyday police harassment. This was known as the Riot at Gene Compton’s Cafeteria in the Tenderloin in San Francisco.

A chronicle of this historic time in 1966 marks one beginning of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) movement resistance. It has been captured in a documentary made by Susan Stryker and Victor Silverman, entitled ‘Screaming Queens’.

Please come support this kick-off event of Compton’s Cafeteria 40th Anniversary activities. It will include a showing of ‘Screaming Queens’. Come learn about this important time in LGBT history, and meet community leaders who are working to showcase this series of events and activities.

Anyone want to help organize a transgender protest outside the home of Laura Albert, located on Larkin Street, between Broadway and Vallejo, in San Francisco??

My reaction comes from the fact that "JT" is really a middle class woman who's been trying to convince people she's a young disadvantaged HIV+ gay and transgender person from an abusive family, in order to market her books as "semi-autobiographical" and get all kinds of people to work for her for free - playing on their sympathies.
How about giving some actual gay and transgender authors that kind of chance? How about some actual HIV+ authors? How about some actual authors from abusive backgrounds? No, instead this woman soaked up all the sympathy for herself, while playing the part of someone disadvantaged. The whole thing makes me sick.

And if you read some of the testimonials, some of the editors who've worked with "JT" admit to basically rewriting the raw material top to bottom and doing some pretty serious editing. So the question is whether "JT" really wrote those books, or was it the team of editors that Laura Albert convinced to work for her for free. And it appears that she really did get the ideas from her middle class couch, while moderating a Yahoo group for recovering street hustlers, where she probably got a lot of her source material.

The regular "Third Thursday" munch and play is Thursday night, January 19th, 2005. This munch is followed by an evening of dungeon play at the infamous Power Exchange (PE). We have a critical mass of leather folks to make our own community within PE, and so have a fun evening. The munch part allows people to relax first and get to know each other, as well as to wind down from the day. This event is also known as Gari’s munch, or the SMACK-n-Play party.

Those who don’t like the usual energy at PE will find this event refreshing. There is no pressure to play, and everyone feels safe. Singles, couples, and groups all welcome.

Munch RSVPs requested so we can better advise the restaurant how many tables to set aside. Email edukink@yahoo.com with "RSVP" in the subject line. But if you can’t rsvp, come along anyway. We’re at the tables farthest from the front door, by the mirrors.

You may come to either the munch, or the party, or both. People who attend the munch usually have dinner, but it’s ok to just have a snack or beverage, or just chat. The restaurant knows we’re kinky, and likes us. You may wear leather, fetish or vanilla.

We aim to be welcoming. This event attracts and welcomes all genders, orientations and play styles. We attract a mix of bdsm, poly, leather, fetish, goth, gender, kinky, exhibitionist, voyeur, and other folks. We have many regulars, plus new people every time. Some people bring toy bags, some don’t. We get a wide range of ages, races, backgrounds, and outlooks; we celebrate diversity. 18 and over only.

At 9 pm we walk from the restaurant, gather in front of PE, and enter as a group. If you enter before or after our one group, you won’t get the discount. Don’t ask them for it, you’ll just ruin it for everyone. Usually all our party gets in free. Sometimes a few single males pay a discounted rate.

It’s one block between the restaurant and dungeon. Most people park in front of PE, then walk to and from the restaurant. Note that there have been car break-ins in this area, so don’t leave anything visible or valuable in a vehicle.

Once inside PE, we usually take over the two largest spaces in the basement. Most of our party stays together, but you’re welcome to explore or play anywhere. Some people start playing immediately, others continue socializing. It’s a warm, relaxed evening, where we create our own energy. There is plenty of flirting, sharing tips, co-topping, group play, and other frolics. Some do pickup play, some only play with their partner, some don’t play in public. Some of us must leave by 11 pm, others stay way past midnight. We often have the whole place to ourselves for the first hour or two.

We discourage heavy cruising, which would drive people away. It’s ok to express an interest in playing with someone. Once only. Then let them get back to you if they’re interested.

Members of our group who are "coupled-up" enter the Power Exchange for free. We would prefer that you join us for dinner first, which is the best time to pair up "boy-girl". This gender balancing is only for purposes of entering PE.

Public transit: From Civic Center BART at Eighth, walk west on Market then left on South Van Ness. Or by MUNI: 1 block south of the Van Ness Muni underground station, accessible from any Muni streetcar. Or the 14 Mission, 42 Loop 49 and 47 Van Ness buses stop at Mission and 11th Street.

My obsession with transsexuals(forthe context here we are using the term to represent M>F and TV). Why do I have it? Well obsession is probably a bit strong. Why is it?

Why is it, that I totally can't find someone to have a relationship with? Out of all the tribes I'm in I think this is the one where I know the most people whom know me in real life. Liek am I such a bad person? I know I'm lazy and I don't like going out to events that much, but really is that the reason? Like I know I'm attractive even with my deep voice, and laziness, as I never have a shortage of fuck toys, I'm just getting burned out on all of it. Now that I'm getting older and my looks are fading, and yes my game is suffering, I know this because I went to a play party and didn'f get picked up on at all really. I felt so out of place at the party, even though it was geared for the queer/fetish youth demographic, so you all tell me what I'm doing wrong. I do realize that part of the reason is I haven't met the right partner in crime yet, but how do I do that with my almost nil motivation to go out to places?
Thank you so much you all, and Charlie the vampire party sounds like fun, only thing the Citadel seems to get more hetero-centric/lesbian filled everytime I go. I go only on certain nights, but still those nights sucj as queer playground, TNG and others seem to be frequented by people who have no interest in me, and my interest in them is minimal.
